Arjuna was born on April in Trichy town in Tamil Nadu, India. His mother, Kalyani, received a good education. After marriage, she supported her husband by engaging in agricultural work, while his father, Rajendran, worked as a farmer. Assuming the presidency in Basketball Federation of India(BFI), Arjuna wasted no time in implementing significant changes within Indian basketball. He organized a national camp led by a foreign coach, emphasizing proper sports nutrition and international exposure for Indian players. Additionally, he assembled
a top-notch support team for the national squad, including esteemed physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and sports psychologists. Founder of Voice of Commons
Aadhav Arjuna’s political journey was inspired by the works of visionaries like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Martin Luther King Jr., C.N. Annadurai, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, and Subhash Chandra Bose. Aadhav deeply connected with Periyar’s revolutionary vision of egalitarianism and Ambedkar’s intellectual battle for justice. He saw Periyar’s ideas taking practical shape under C.N. Annadurai’s governance in Tamil Nadu, while lamenting the unfulfilled potential of Ambedkar’s principles in Indian politics. This realization became his guiding light—understanding that electoral politics is the engine through which ideologies of equality can become tangible realities.
In 2015, Aadhav Arjuna began his political career by contributing to the electoral success of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). By 2019, he founded One Mind India, an organization dedicated to electoral data analysis and campaign development. Recognizing the need for modernization in Tamil Nadu’s political campaigns, he invited strategist Prashant Kishore and his I-PAC team to collaborate,
reshaping the state’s electoral approach. This strategy played a pivotal role in DMK’s resounding success in the 2021 Assembly Elections.
Determined to empower the marginalized and build an egalitarian society, One Mind India transformed into a people’s movement aimed at creating a fair and inclusive political framework known as Voice of Commons. At the helm of Voice of Commons, Aadhav quickly made his mark by partnering with the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) in 2022. Through innovative strategies, VOC restructured the party’s framework, introduced a robust digital task force and organizing large-scale events such as the booth committee meeting in Chennai, attended by over 15,000 booth agents. The movement’s crowning achievement came during the “Vellum Jananayagam” Conference in Siruganur, Tiruchirappalli—Tamil Nadu’s first major INDIA alliance event. This historic gathering redefined political collaboration and became a turning point in Indian politics, organized in coordination with senior party leaders by Voice of Commons. At this event, Thol. Thirumavalavan publicly commended Aadhav Arjuna and officially welcomed him into the party. Recognizing his dedication and contributions, Aadhav Arjuna was elevated to the position of Deputy General Secretary of VCK, further solidifying his role as a key player in advancing the party’s mission for social justice and equality. In the 2024 Parliamentary Elections, Aadhav Arjuna introduced cutting-edge digital campaigning strategies, including QR code-based outreach,
which marked a first in the electoral field. These efforts propelled VCK to state-level recognition. Later, in response to the tragedy caused by illicit liquor in Kallakurichi, Aadhav Arjuna spearheaded a prohibition campaign and organized the impactful Conference Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Ulundurpet.
Aadhav Arjuna’s contributions have been instrumental in amplifying Thol. Thirumavalavan’s long-standing call for “Participation in governance and power-sharing,” ensuring it resonates powerfully across Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
Aadhav Arjuna has since resigned from his role in the party, citing that some of the justified anger and opinions he expressed on public welfare issues often became points of contention. This, coupled with his inability to freely share his opinions and the belief that such dynamics could lead to discord, ultimately led him to step down. Despite his resignation, Aadhav remains steadfast in his dedication to societal progress. He is determined to work for the advancement of youth, fostering a transparent government, eradicating poverty, promoting equality, empowering women and ensuring their electoral representation, and amplifying the representation and voices of Dalits and minorities. In alignment with Dr. Ambedkar’s revolutionary vision of raising questions in pursuit of power, Aadhav intends to actively participate in the 2026 Assembly Elections, channeling his efforts towards building a fair and inclusive political landscape.
